John J. Horton

Assistant Professor, Stern School of Business, New York University

John is an assistant professor of information systems at the Stern School of Business at NYU. He is an economist by training and received his PhD in public policy from Harvard University. His research focuses on the design and operation of online marketplaces. After graduate school but before joining NYU, he served as the staff economist at oDesk (now Upwork). This past summer he visited Uber's data science team, working primarily on building new tools for analyzing trip data.
