Sky deal will proceed. Disney and Fox executives both emphasized Fox is continuing with its bid to buy full ownership of the Sky satellite TV service in Britain. What they didn’t say was that U.K. regulators may be much more likely to approve that deal now that the Murdochs are removing themselves from the equation. The history of phone hacking at the Murdochs’ U.K. newspapers and, more recently, questions about Fox News’ coverage, had been stumbling blocks in the way of approval for the deal.
