Will 2014 be Cisco’s Year of Reckoning?

Lackluster performance among old-school technology companies attracted the activists in 2013.

Next year those agitators – investors who push big strategy changes in the hopes of a big stock-price bump – will be casting around for new ideas. And Cisco Systems, which has struggled to keep up with networking trends and low-cost competitors, seems a likely target.
