Job Description
Our Director of Engineering will lead and grow our engineering team and work closely with our CEO to develop next-gen ways to present and distribute high-quality information. Our product goes far beyond traditional news tools.
As our Engineering Director, you will be responsible for developing a strategy for launching new or improved versions of our product to a highly engaged global audience of technology leaders. You will have the freedom to work on projects that excite you and work alongside a dedicated team rather than working strictly on a straight production cycle for feature and product releases. This role is a blend of committing your own code to our Git repos and project management, so organizational skills are a must.

- Manage project deadlines and bi-weekly sprint planning

Requirements
- Our tech stack consists of Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Redis, Git, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML and CSS. Candidates should be familiar with or willing to learn these technologies.
- 2 - 5 years experience in an engineering environment.
- Have experience leading a team of engineers and keeping projects on track.
- Have a Github that you are proud of. Side projects are completely fine too!
- Specializations are welcome and encouraged. We want you to be building the things you’re excited about.
- Experience with using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment services and workflows (CodeShip, Jenkins, TravisCI)
Benefits
- Competitive salary, performance bonuses and vacation days.
- Experienced and talented colleagues.
- Tech-savvy newsroom.
- Fun office culture.
- Incredible view of 4 local landmarks, and sweeping view of the downtown FiDi skyline.
- You will be part of a creative team building the highest caliber, must-read stories about the technology market.

We'd love to hear from you.
