Be The Information’s Head of Growth
These could be your colleagues! The Information has a big mission: to build the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal of the digital era, backed by quality reporting that puts readers, not advertisers, first.
In the digital news universe, subscription businesses get a bad rap. But we believe they are the most powerful way to deliver quality journalism to engaged readers and to build relationships with readers that will persist for decades. And our conviction is growing. Our community of subscribers is thousands strong, across 65 countries. We’ve recently achieved our fastest growth rate yet, with little to no marketing.
Now, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, passionate Head of Growth to help take us to the next level. This role doesn’t fall into standard job categories. At its core, it’s a job for a leader who wants to get his or her hands dirty across multiple areas of a fast-growing media company while having end-to-end responsibility for many important features.
- This person would be responsible for new and future ways we grow, including but not limited to marketing, sales and partnerships.
 - He or she would also be a key voice on product strategy, responsible for conceiving of and executing new ways to ensure subscribers hear about our journalism.
 - Our Head of Growth will play an important role in our community, meeting and building relationships with our subscribers, who are among the most interesting people in technology and business.
 - Candidates should be analytical (we love Excel) but also creative and relentlessly focused on big, needle-moving initiatives. We’re looking for a great executor who loves to experiment.
 - The position comes with a competitive salary and bonus, and full benefits.
 - It reports to our CEO, Jessica Lessin.
 - The role is based in San Francisco, with a possible exception for New York.
