The pandemic made influencer-led online courses a hit with a population stuck at home. Even as people have started to leave their houses, one young startup has been able to raise more money to expand.
Disco, a software startup for creating and selling live courses, events and workshops, raised $15 million in Series A funding led by GSV Ventures at an undisclosed valuation, the company said Tuesday. The investment adds to GSV’s other bets in the sector, including celebrity-driven MasterClass and Coursera, when the online course provider was still a private company.
