Two-thirds of readers are opposed to restrictions such as New York City’s newly approved cap on the number of vehicles companies like Uber and Lyft can operate on city streets. But 54% of respondents thought cities should establish pay minimums for ride-hailing drivers, a possible reflection of the growing attention paid to the struggles of some contractors working in the gig economy.
