The money-losing rapid-delivery startup is ramping up its ad sales efforts in hopes of strengthening its finances ahead of a possible public listing, a person with direct knowledge of the matter said. Gopuff co-founder Rafael Ilishayev told investors in December that the company plans to make advertising “a core tenet of what we do,” the person said.
