As Shopify grapples with the online shopping downturn, the e-commerce giant has revamped its top management ranks to reflect its biggest priorities.
Kaz Nejatian, a Shopify product executive who also took on the role of chief operating officer in September, is playing a key role as the company looks to offset slumping growth in its software business by selling more add-on services to its customers. And in late October, former Morgan Stanley tech banker Jeff Hoffmeister took over as Shopify’s chief financial officer—which could signal a bigger focus on mergers and acquisitions.
The Information’s updated Shopify org chart identifies more than 60 executives atop the e-commerce firm. It shows new hires that have refreshed the company’s ranks after a wave of senior-level departures last year, but it also reflects additional exits.
