Facebook’s annual F8 developers conference last year was one of the first notable tech events to get canceled due to the pandemic. This year it’s returning, but as a digital-only event with an altered name and, as Facebook claims, a renewed focus on its developer community.
F8 Refresh, as it will be called, gets underway tomorrow, June 2, with a keynote from Facebook’s Konstantinos Papamiltiadis, VP of platform partnerships. CEO Mark Zuckerberg is passing on the keynote torch despite a recent uptick in appearances from the man himself, suggesting that this year’s conference may be a subdued departure from previous F8 events.
