LinkedIn is the only big social media company that’s sticking with newsletters. This month, Facebook parent Meta Platforms and Twitter both shuttered their respective newsletter products as these tech companies cut costs, including shutting down products for creators, after overspending during the tech boom. But for LinkedIn, newsletters are seeing substantial growth.
The Microsoft-owned social network says 53 million people subscribe to 213 million newsletters, an increase in total subscriptions of four times from a year ago, according to a spokesperson. There are about 63,000 newsletters on LinkedIn, an increase of 10 times from a year ago.
