NetSuite Marketing Execs to Depart
NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson. Photo by Bloomberg.Three marketing executives at subscription software firm NetSuite are leaving after a year or less on the job, according to people briefed on the matter.
Chief Marketing Officer Fred Studer, Chief Creative Officer Morgan Norman and Vice President of Global Marketing Gladys Lau all joined the company in the past year, from Microsoft, Zuora and Oracle, respectively.
The team was tasked with refreshing NetSuite’s brand. They are departing after disagreements with CEO Zach Nelson over issues such as how to update the company’s website and how heavily it should rely on customer stories in marketing materials, one of the people said.
The disagreements may also reflect a clash of old and new. Most of NetSuite’s top brass have been with the company since 2007 or earlier.
NetSuite declined to comment. Mr. Studer’s departure was earlier reported by industry newsletter Bob Scott’s Insights.
