Subscribers to The Information are mostly pessimistic about the impact of the Trump administration on their business—despite being hopeful about the prospects for tax reform.
Roughly two-thirds of the people responding to our latest subscriber survey said they had a negative view of how their business would be affected by the new administration. The biggest area of concern was immigration: 47% said that was the policy area they were most worried about regarding their business.
The survey also found a big drop in subscriber optimism about both tech’s prospects and the economy, likely a sign of nervousness about some of the Trump administration’s policies. That’s something of a contrast to the stock market which has rallied strongly since the election on hopes of tax reform and deregulation.
