Never in Amazon’s 27-year history has the internet giant seen such dramatic upheaval in its leadership.
In recent days, two executives with the first name Jeff—Wilke, its longtime worldwide consumer chief, and Blackburn, a senior vice president—have left the company, while Amazon’s third and most famous Jeff—CEO and founder Bezos—will depart the top job later this year. Those changes have in turn touched off a series of promotions—most notably, cloud computing chief Andy Jassy will assume Bezos’ job and Dave Clark, Amazon’s top logistics wizard, has stepped into Wilke’s shoes. The updated Amazon org chart accompanying this story, which includes more than 50 executives, captures the extraordinary changes in the company’s senior ranks.
