The Information is hiring a senior executive to grow our event sponsorship and advertising businesses, reporting directly to our CEO.

Over the last five years, The Information has become essential reading to business professionals across industries who closely follow the technology sector. We have been honored as one of the world's most innovative media companies by Fast Company and as a new media disruptor by Vanity Fair. Our journalism has held technology companies and their leaders to account and has been cited by competitors hundreds of times.

Our subscription news business is one of—if not the—largest among media companies that didn’t exist 10 years ago. And we are growing stronger and outpacing competitors. We have created a zealous community of subscribers that convene in-person across more than 10 events a year and online in groups in Slack and Facebook.

Now, we’re taking the business to the next level.

We already work with some of the world's largest brands to connect them with our community—a unique concentration of influential decision makers.

The Director of Event and Ad Sales would be responsible for deepening relationships with these companies and expanding our partnerships into new markets to drive next-level revenue growth.

Qualifications

This is a special role for an entrepreneurial and experienced executive who wants to shape the next generation of media businesses by turbocharging a proven model.

We are looking for a leader who has grown a sponsorship business to tens of millions of dollars and who is used to doubling or tripling revenue year after year.

Candidates must also be passionate about the future of the news business and be ready to work closely with our CEO on strategy.

Location: San Francisco or New York
