Twitter CEO Takes a Meeting With Trump

Just hours after President Trump complained—on Twitter—about being mistreated by Twitter, he got to make his case to CEO Jack Dorsey at an Oval Office meeting. Apparently, President Trump and Mr. Dorsey will be able to iron out their differences.

“Great meeting this afternoon at the @WhiteHouse with @Jack from @Twitter,” tweeted President Trump. “Lots of subjects discussed regarding their platform, and the world of social media in general. Look forward to keeping an open dialogue!”

President Trump also tweeted a photo of the meeting. For his part, Mr. Dorsey appeared concerned that some of his employees would not greet news of the meeting with President Trump with the same good cheer.

In an email to Twitter employees earlier today, he wrote: “Some of you will be very supportive of our meeting the president, and some of you might feel we shouldn’t take this meeting at all.” The email went out to all Twitter employees, according to Wired. “I believe it’s important to meet heads of state in order to listen, share our principles and our ideas,” he added.
