Microsoft Co-Founder Paul Allen Says He Is Battling Cancer Again

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen says he is again fighting non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after previously suffering a recurrence of the disease in 2009. “My doctors are optimistic that I will see good results from the latest therapies, as am I,” said Mr. Allen in a blog post

Mr. Allen, 65, left day-to-day duties at Microsoft in 1982 after being diagnosed with the disease but remained on its board of directors until 2000. Since then, he has become well known outside the tech industry as the owner of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and the NBA’s Portland Trailblazers, as well as for wide-ranging philanthropic efforts through his company, Vulcan Inc.
