U.K. Report Calls for Stricter Rules for Google, Facebook

Google accounted for 90% of all search advertising revenues in the U.K. and Facebook accounted for nearly half of all display revenues in the U.K. in 2018, a new report from the U.K.’s Competition and Markets Authority released Wednesday finds. The report said the U.K. competition agency will now “identify steps” for opening up competition and discuss “whether and how” to regulate the sector. ...
