Startup Confluent Valued at $4.5 Billion After New Funding

Confluent, a startup founded by the creators of the open-source Apache Kafka data-processing software project, announced a $250 million Series E round led by Coatue Management. The round eclipses the $206 million Confluent had raised since its founding in 2014.
