Executives’ Clash Clouds SoftBank’s Vision Fund

Bloomberg reveals some bitter behind-the-scenes infighting at the Vision Fund, the $100 billion tech investment vehicle created by Masayoshi Son, the billionaire founder of Japan’s SoftBank.

According to Bloomberg’s account, Marcelo Claure, the former Sprint executive named SoftBank chief operating officer last May, clashed with Rajeev Misra, head of the Vision Fund.

Mr. Claure was supposed to use his  experience running businesses to help SoftBank’s and the Vision Fund’s vast portfolio of companies improve. Instead, the team hired to work for him has been put under the Vision Fund’s Mr. Misra, a financier who ran credit trading at Deutsche Bank among other things.
