Tech Stocks Lead Market Selloff

The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped nearly 3% Tuesday as tech stocks led a broader market selloff. Among the day’s big losers were Nvidia, which dropped nearly 8% after announcing it would temporarily suspend its autonomous vehicle efforts; Twitter, down 12% after noted short-seller Andrew Left’s Citron Research argued the company was vulnerable to regulators; and Tesla, which closed down 8% following news that the National Transportation Safety Board opened an investigation into a fatal car crash. Still, tech stocks have fared better than the wider market so far this year.
