Slack’s Stock Soars on Report of Salesforce Deal Talks

Shares of Slack jumped almost 30% on Wednesday after The Wall Street Journal reported that Salesforce is in talks to acquire the business messaging company. The companies could reach an agreement on a deal within days, the Journal reported. A transaction would value Slack at more than its $17 billion market capitalization prior to the report.
