Apple Probed Supply Chain for Business Misconduct

Apple earlier this year investigated business misconduct in its supply chain, but couldn’t find evidence of wrongdoing, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The Journal said the investigation rattled employees in China, along with suppliers, and came amid the departures of a top procurement executive and two junior members of the team handling non-electrical components for iPhones.

The incident has echos of a 2010 case where an Apple supply-chain manager was arrested for passing secrets to help suppliers win contracts from Apple in exchange for kickbacks.
