Gabe is the founder and CEO of Freenome a company that uses deep learning of blood-bourne DNA to detect cancer at the earliest points possible to treat it. He created and released his first public application at the age of 11. At 17, he was hired as an engineer at Apple. Since then, he has studied computer science, biology, chemistry and philosophy at Cornell University and has worked at tech companies such as Glyde, Tumblr and Filemaker. While working on his Ph.D. in computational biology at the University of Pennsylvania, he published several papers on applications of machine learning on large genomics datasets and other big data. Aside from his companies, Gabe enjoys rock climbing and archery.
