About the Speakers:

• Drew Patterson is the cofounder and executive chairman at Transparent Intelligence, a data intelligence firm that analyzes 35 million listings on Airbnb, Vrbo & Booking.com. He has spent his career in the travel industry, working at Kayak.com and Starwood Hotels before founding Room 77, a hotel search startup that sold to Expedia.
• Tobias Wann was the CEO of @Leisure Group, a leading vacation rental company in Europe that was acquired last year by hospitality firm Oyo. He also led Oyo's vacation homes division until July. Wann previously worked as an executive at HomeAway, now an Expedia-owned site that competes with Airbnb and has now rebranded as Vrbo.
• Mark Shmulik is the senior analyst at Bernstein covering U.S. internet companies, including Airbnb, Uber and Lyft. Mark joined Bernstein in 2018 with nearly a decade and a half of experience across the tech, media and telecom sectors, with a strong focus on digital business models and disruption, most recently as an associate partner in McKinsey’s digital practice practice.
• Cory Weinberg has been a reporter at The Information since 2015. He started covering Airbnb and the online travel sector a year later, and has broken numerous stories about the startup's financials and inner workings. He also reports on tech's impact on cities, and wrote extensively about WeWork's IPO last year.
