There's no such thing as "the cloud" any more. Companies are increasingly managing multiple tech stacks, including hardware that runs in private data centers and applications and services rented from cloud providers. A new and evolving set of "microservices" has emerged to help companies manage the complexity that comes with this new approach to computing.
