Join us for a Live Video Summit where we focus on tech hubs beyond Silicon Valley. We'll take a look inside the recent pre-COVID-19 trends around startup hubs and what’s driving the shift, and benefits of building a company outside of the Bay Area. This conversation is brought to you in partnership with the Canadian Consulate.

About the Speakers:

  • Patrick Spence is the Chief Executive Officer and serves on the Board of Directors for Sonos. Patrick joined Sonos as Chief Commercial Officer in 2012. He has played a central role in the development and launch of some of the company’s most successful products. Patrick has also led the company’s expansion into new territories including China, France, Australia, and Mexico.
  • Shellye Archambeau is the author of the new book Unapologetically Ambitious. She is an experienced CEO and Board Director with a track record of accomplishments building brands, high performance teams, and organizations. She currently serves on the boards of Verizon, Nordstrom, Roper Technologies, and Okta. Shellye is also a strategic advisor to the Royal Bank of Canada, Capital Markets Group.
  • Rana Sarkar was appointed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as Canada’s Consul General in San Francisco | Silicon Valley in 2017 to focus on Canada’s tech diplomacy and growth agenda. He also sits on Canada’s NAFTA Advisory Council.  Previously, Rana was a co-founder, investor and advisor in Asia, Europe and North America, most recently as the National Director of High Growth Markets for KPMG. He was the founding co-chairman of the Advisory Board of the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto where he remains a Senior Fellow.
  • Jessica Lessin founded The Information in 2013 and is the publication’s Editor-in-Chief. She covered Silicon Valley and the technology industry for eight years at the Wall Street Journal. Jessica graduated from Harvard University in 2005 and lives in San Francisco.
