• Kevin McLaughlin joined The Information in 2016 after 11 years covering enterprise technology and cloud computing at CRN, a technology trade industry publication. Previously, he was a technical writer for France Telecom’s R&D division and a reporter at Business 2.0.
• Kate Clark is a reporter for The Information, covering venture capital and startups from The Information's San Francisco headquarters. Previously, she was a reporter at TechCrunch, where she broke stories on the startup industry.
• Tom Dotan is a reporter for The Information. He spent the previous two years covering tech for the Los Angeles Business Journal in the heart of mediadom. Prior to that, he worked as a freelance political reporter, publishing pieces in the Guardian, Marketplace, KCET and the Sacramento Bee.
• Alex Heath covers Facebook and its competitors for The Information from Los Angeles. He was previously a senior reporter for Business Insider and the financial news channel Cheddar in New York City. His work has been cited widely by other publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.
• Amir Efrati helped launch The Information in 2013. His reporting on Uber's corporate practices and on the dangers and limits of self-driving vehicle development won consecutive Best in Business awards from the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) in 2017, 2018, and 2019, respectively. Before The Information, he spent nine years at the Wall Street Journal.
