A pair of startup founders that helped Salesforce.com build out its analytics cloud have left the company, Salesforce confirmed.

Vijay Chakravarthy and Ryan Lange co-founded EdgeSpring, a business intelligence service for slicing and dicing data into custom reports that Salesforce purchased in 2013. EdgeSpring formed a key part of Salesforce’s “Wave” analytics platform, which it announced to much fanfare at its annual user conference in 2014.

Since then, most of the leadership at the unit has turned over, with analytics chief Keith Bigelow departing late last year. Bob Stutz, a Microsoft executive running the Redmond firm’s competing product against Salesforce, was hired to replace Mr. Bigelow.

“Vijay Chakravarthy and Ryan Lange are leaving Salesforce to pursue other opportunities,” Salesforce said in a statement, adding that it wishes them “the best in their future endeavors.”
