Subscribers are feeling slightly more upbeat about Twitter, judging by the results of our latest subscriber survey. Meanwhile, attitudes towards Amazon

Twitter’s sentiment score dropped to a negative 21%, a big improvement on the negative 47% score in March, which was an improvement on the negative 60% in February. Twitter appears to be making progress in a video strategy, striking a partnership with Bloomberg News, for instance. Still, the fact that subscribers are still mostly negative suggests they remain skeptical of its prospects. (The sentiment score is the percentage of subscribers who are more optimistic minus the percentage who are less optimistic.)

The survey also showed improved attitudes towards Alibaba. Its sentiment score rose to 11.7%, from 1% in the March survey. Meanwhile, negative sentiment towards Snap was unchanged from the past two months.
