Ross Matican joined The Information as a reporter in 2020, covering tech and capital markets. Ross attended Carleton College, where he served as editor-in-chief of the student newspaper The Carletonian and was recognized as a finalist in the Associated Collegiate Press 2019 Reporter of the Year competition. Prior to joining full-time, Ross honed his real-world reporting chops as a summer intern at The Information. He has also held internships at The Capitol Forum, an antitrust and consumer protection news outlet in Washington; at PR and marketing analytics firm RF|Binder in New York; and on Yelp's public policy team. A reformed New Jerseyan, Ross now lives in San Francisco.
